Atlanta-based consulting firm Insight Sourcing Group ranks as the fastest-growing procurement consultancy in the world and top 25 among all consulting firms for 2019, according to Consulting magazine.

ATLANTA, Georgia — October 29, 2019 — For the second time in 2019, Consulting magazine recognizes  Insight Sourcing Group as a leader among its consulting firm peers.  In September, the firm made Consulting‘s Best Firms to Work For list, ranking #11 for firms with less than 250 consultants.  This month, Insight Sourcing Group has announced it ranked #24 on Consulting‘s Fastest Growing Firms list, making it the fastest-growing procurement consultancy in the world in 2019.

In all, only 52 firms qualified for this year’s ranking and those firms compiled an average growth rate of 233 percent.

“Being named a fastest-growing firm is affirmation that we’re doing things right—for both our employees and our clients,” says Brent Eiland, president of Insight Sourcing Group. “For our clients, it’s truly a testament to the long term relationships we’ve developed and the confidence they have to not only continue to leverage our services, but to recommend us to others as well. Spend Insights Podcast with ISG Enterprise Energy Solutions

Spend Insights welcomes Richard Heath, Director of Enterprise Energy & Sustainability with ISG Enterprise Energy Solutions

As an energy and demand management expert, Richard shares his personal insights and experiences for how finance and procurement can better forecast and budget energy spend and addresses the best practices ISG Energy uses to manage energy spend based on the organizational, regulatory and environmental factors that can impact it.

Richard Heath leads ISG Enterprise Energy Solutions‘ Demand Management & Energy Efficiency business where he partners with global commercial and industrial clients to reduce waste and overall consumption across their portfolios. With over 20 years of experience in strategic leadership, consulting, and operations management in the supermarket and retail sector, Richard bring new insights to ISG Energy and can provide a new client perspective around enterprise-wide energy management.

“Most of the time what we find is utility spend, even though can be quite substantial in an organization, seems to be looked at as unaddressable. By that I mean they look at energy as an annual spend that is going to be at a ‘run-rate’ year over year and then budget for that rate for following year. The problem or opportunity with that approach is that it starts off with an assumption without any tie to a business metric. This is where we find opportunity to look at the energy spend and the data analytics to make it more addressable for our clients”.
Richard Heath, ISG Enterprise Energy Solutions

Effective client engagement at both ISG Enterprise Energy Solutions and SpendHQ  all starts with data. Data drives every decision and allows our team to equip clients with strategic recommendations and sustainability solutions that meet their financial targets.

If you are interested in a comprehensive energy assessment to evaluate your portfolio to uncover opportunities hiding in your energy spend, send us a note!

Insight Sourcing Group holds second annual firmwide community service event in partnership with historic Oakland Cemetery.

ATLANTA, GEORGIAApril 1, 2019—Insight Sourcing Group’s commitment to giving back to its community continued as the firm held its second company-wide volunteer service day in partnership with Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery, one of the largest cemetery green spaces in the country and located southeast of downtown Atlanta. Oakland is the resting place for several notable Atlantans including Margaret Mitchell (author of Gone with the Wind), Bobby Jones (famous golfer and co-founder of Augusta National), and Selena Sloan Butler (co-founder of the National Parent Teacher Association). Six Georgia governors and 26 Atlanta mayors are also buried at Oakland.

For its second annual service day, all 131 employees convened early in the morning and completed a number of landscaping projects throughout the cemetery’s various “character” areas including the original six acres, Jewish Hill, the African-American Grounds, East Hill, Bell Tower Ridge, and the Greenhouse Valley. Projects included weeding, mulching, planting shrubs and other flowers, irrigating, and general clean-up around gravesites and headstones.

“This was a great opportunity for our entire team to help the community in a historic Atlanta location,” said Brent Eiland, President of Insight Sourcing Group. “Our annual service day is a great reminder that it’s not always about the business, and that it’s incredibly important to give back. I am grateful to have been part of such a fun and impactful event, and I know the rest of our team feels the same way.”

Insight Sourcing Group has an internal advisory committee dedicated to planning and executing volunteer events for the firm.  The firm currently holds one company-wide service event day and four quarterly volunteer events with local nonprofit partners.

About Oakland Cemetery

Oakland Cemetery is one of the largest cemetery green spaces, located in Atlanta, Georgia.  Founded as Atlanta Cemetery in 1850 on six acres of land southeast of the city, it was renamed in 1872 to reflect the large number of oak and magnolia trees growing in the area. By that time, the city had grown and the cemetery had enlarged correspondingly to the current 48 acres.  Since then, Atlanta has continued to expand so that the cemetery is now located in the center of the city. Because of its age and location, the cemetery directly reflects the history and changing culture of the City of Atlanta and the significant events it has seen. Names of Atlanta streets, buildings, parks, subdivisions, and more can be found within the cemetery gates. An estimated 70,000 people are interred at Oakland, and while the last plots were sold in 1884, there are still regular burials today.
